Hargreaves and Stocks were founded in 2015, being formed from two established organisations based in Doncaster, South Yorkshire.

The founding Directors, Wayne Hargreaves and Neil Stocks, have between them, over 40 years’ experience. Having been good friends for many years both professionally and personally, Wayne and Neil decided to join forces and increase the potential and scope of their operations to form the current organisation and focus predominantly on commercial and industrial painting and decorating.

Having a double-digit FTE workforce, Hargreaves and Stocks pride themselves on using local apprenticeship talent from Doncaster College which has proven to be extremely successful in giving young people skills for a continued career in the profession. In addition to the FTE workforce, they maintain relationships with sub-contractors across the UK to ensure they can scale operations to maintain their reputation in delivering high standards, on time and to budget, regardless of the location.

Large, nationwide complex contacts now account for over 80% of their work which has seen a change in focus from when the organisation was originally founded. Working closely with Architects, Designers and Manufacturers is commonplace as well as ensuring compliance with evolving paint technology, techniques and standards.

As momentum gather’s pace, Wayne and Neil are excited for the future, strengthening those long-standing relationships, building new ones and continuing to make Hargreaves and Stocks a great place for their people to come and work because ‘teamwork makes the dream work’!
